CMI Ropejack
The CMI RopeJack is a mechanical advantage tool for quickly and easily pre-tensioning static lines, light lifting, and cabling. The RopeJack is small and light enough to be carried aloft by a climber, and the length of the handle on the RopeJack limits excessive loading in order to avoid rope damage. The CMI RopeJack is used to remove slack and stretch for lowering and to lift the tips on light limbs without having to break out the big guns. Simply attach both ascenders to your line and crank away to tighten a static line or climb a rope.

Good Rigging Control System
The Good Rigging Control System created by Greg Good (GRCS for short) is an essential tool for any professional tree crew working with large timber. When using the winch, the GRCS helps with lifting downed limbs and trunk sections – especially helpful on storm cleanup jobs – thanks to the Harken winch adding serious lifting power to your crew. The GRCS is the ultimate lowering tool for bringing down heavy wood with control, and shines when working on a site which must be preserved from damage. In 2012, the GRCS was updated with an improved winch, the Harken 46 Arborist. It has a taller drum, allowing for a full 5 wraps with a 3/4? lowering line. The self-tailer has been changed to accommodate the larger diameter ropes used in our industry. The new version was found to be just as tough and that it provides even more pulling power! The GRCS is an equipment investment which quickly pays for itself, allowing a crew to tackle jobs they might otherwise need a crane for, thanks to its lifting power.

Hobbs H2 Lowering Device
The Hobbs lowering device was first designed and manufactured in 1980 by Ed Hobbs. Tried and true, the device has been improved and re-designed over the years by Ken Johnson. The latest version is the H-2. This device is designed for lowering lines from 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter and has a working load limit up to 3,000 lbs. The H-2 offers smooth and precise rope control and a lifting capacity of 1,000 lbs. The heart of the device is the aluminum spool, which is designed for extreme impact loading, wear resistance and heat dissipation. It's mounted on a 1-1/2" solid steel shaft, with oil impregnated bushings for years of use. The H-2 comes complete with a 20' mounting strap (fits trees up to 6' in diameter), winch bar and detailed graphics explaining proper usage, ratings, warnings and safe operations. Weighs 58 lbs.
